Public awareness is the single largest concern of most external communications plans, initiatives and programs. Somehow, some way, most external communications have a public awareness element built into them.

How about this: "We're not getting our message out!!" Ha! How many times have your heard that this year? This month? If you hear it every week, you've got a problem. You've come to the right place.

But this whole public awareness thing falls flat on its face when it's just one way. This falls into the "we-know-what-we-want-to-say" (wkwwwts) category - not to be confused with the "what-they-want-to-hear-us-say" (wtwthus) category.

The bottom line is the bottom line - why spend money on building public awareness if your target audiences aren't interested in what you have to say? And who are your target audiences?

  • We do strategic analyses - We start from the end. We determine what the end objective is, then build to it - based on an organization's stated communications needs. Sometimes we need to re-articulate those needs, based on our research about or with the target audiences.
  • We identify the messaging - You may know what you want to say, but it may not be what the target audience wants to hear. So we start with your messages, then rework them as necessary - to pull the interest of your target audience.
  • We build the programs - We build public awareness programs based on the "reach" an organization needs. Sometimes, when millions of people are involved, you need to include advertising and advocacy programs, in addition to media relations programming and speeches. Or maybe it's just a community outreach for targeted areas. Or maybe an opinion leader contact program is required. Or do you have to reach every classroom in a region?
  • We build the delivery systems - Depending on the public awareness programs you need, you may require radio or newspaper advertising as an element in the delivery of messages. For an opinion leader program, you may just need targeted mail or perhaps a speakers tour, or regional opinion leader briefings. Or possibly you need special or local advocates to help deliver your messages. Or maybe just a video CD will do the trick.
  • We deliver - We deliver public awareness. We deliver what you need. Because we're clear with our objectives from the outset.
We Can Help You:
